My sister has consistently been pushing me to start a food blog. Why? Who knows (probably because I make cookies, cupcakes and cakes almost everyday). But I have made a goal for the summer, in addition to my attempt to get an internship with the ever infamous Food Network: create a collection of recipes that satisfy my strongest cravings and learn more sweet baking skills. I have been stalking my favorite food blogs (
Joy the Baker, Bakerella,
Bake or Break and
Pioneer Woman to name a few) to collect some, okay, ALOT of recipes that I am dying to try. Yes, they are mainly sweet desserts, but I do also have some other courses to try that look irresistible. So when I get back to LA from my college life in Chi town, I'm going to start my own
Julie and Julia experiment. So for now I will keep adding to my list, currently at 103 recipes; if you have any suggestions to add to my list let me know!
I can just hear the complaining from my patron taste-testers about how fat they will be, or the fact that I don't like to give away my sweet treats after a small tasting, but I'm plugging my ears and ignoring what they are moaning about! I'm still in the planning stages of my summer "project", but it will roughly begin around May 13th. Till then, hit me up with some del-I-cious recipes pleeeease!
My mom and I baking pecan pie for Christmas dinner. She is probably the only one who never tells me not to make food for

fear of gaining weight; she knows how to indulge, and she taught me everything I know. I learn from the best. <3
