Kayla, Catherine, Me and Alex last year in the Chi
So, I'm back at school in Chicago and it feels like I never left! I have three amazing roommates, all not too keen on cooking/baking. Being the official Le Chub, I took initiative and started making dinners and of course baked goods. I made a few salads invented from past inspiration. I just through some things in a bowl, dressed them and tossed. It went over well for the first week. I made my go-to chocolate cupcakes for Kayla's birthday that I think everyone loved and my signature cookies. Despite all this, I'm craving fall. I'm craving the famous pumpkin bread that my mother started making while I was in elementary school. I remember during middle school and high school my mom and I would make pumpkin bread and living with just her and my dogs for a bit, we managed to eat two loaves by ourselves.... in three days tops (we know how to eat). This bread has yet to fail me and I have yet to meet a person who can stop eating after the first bite. The leaves have not started to fall yet, but the time has come to bring in the fall season with some nostalgic pumpkin bread. I'll be back with more soon!
