This is Hannah, searching for Pumpkin

Over the summer when I started this mission, that didn't quite get accomplished, I made something that some people wouldn't even try. Some after trying it unaware of the ingredients, would claim they were able to tell that these super moist, gooey, chocolate coffee brownies had black beans in them. I am doubtful of these claims. I got the recipe from 101 Cookbooks. I have tried a few of her recipes and they all turned out well, but this one was soooooo delicious. I usually change the recipe a little bit, omitting the butter altogether and replacing it with half the amount of canola oil, and maybe a few (ok, alot) of extra chocolate chips. Being the loving sister that I am, I sent them to my sister for her birthday because she loved them so much the first time. Truth is, I really really REALLY wanted to make pumpkin bread. With all my being, thats the one thing that I wanted to make. So I set off with a roommate to do some general grocery shopping. At home they have canned pumpkin in pretty much all the general stores. We went to Dominicks, (probably equivalent to Vons in LA) we browse get our items. I almost forget to look and run back to the baking aisle. I scan the shelves waiting to see the big orange can that contains so much deliciousness, but it wasn't there. I think oh, maybe they just need to refill the shelves so I go ask an employee. "We don't carry that." "You don't carry it? Are you sure?" "Yeah, that's the one with the orange can right?" "Yeah, do you know any store that would have it?" "No."

Needless to say this incident ruined my day a little bit, and I don't like to talk about the situation. So we get back and I'm left to figure out what to make. I finally land on the brownies. I think they were a good choice.

Despite Dominick's lack of interest in carrying one of the most crucial fall food products, I am still on the search. If anyone has any information on this sad situation please let me know because it's a serious issue.
